Openwork – Athena’s Thimble

For the openwork category of Athena’s Thimble, I made a drawn and pulled linen handkerchief done with linen thread.  It uses basic hemstitch and needle weaving stitch. The patterns are four thread interval rows of mouse teeth all the way around, and the other one my helpful teacher Fiore Leonetta Bardi called inverted rows or twists “but it might have a real name”. (I couldn’t find a better name, so I’m sticking with that.)  This wasn’t super hard and I would be willing to do it again if I had reason to, but it’s not something I found particularly interesting or memorable, so it’s unlikely to be more than this 1 item.
